A Typical Three Day Meal at Worcester Academy

We all see what Sage offers for lunch, but have you ever wondered what the serve for breakfast or dinner? What you will see below is my experience of a typical day at Worcester Academy’s dining hall.

Scrambled eggs with Mushrooms, Onions and Peppers, Home Fries and Fried Eggs

On this day, breakfast mainly consisted of eggs and bacon. However, Sage added some variety and pop into it. Instead of just having plain scrambled eggs, Sage added in mushrooms, onions, and peppers to spice it up. Adding pepper on top of the scrambled eggs added a little more pop to it. In addition, there were also fried eggs and home fries. The fried egg was runny and not cooked through, which allowed the egg yolk to burst in your mouth, full of flavour. The home fries were cut up into small squares and fried. Crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Paired with ketchup, they tasted absolutely delicious.

For lunch, the entire highschool of Worcester Academy gets to grab a bite. You’d expect the quality of food to be worse, since there’s so many mouths to feed. However, Sage always rises to the challenge.

Buttered Parsley Potatoes, Eggplant Parmesan, and Baked Rigatoni with Broccoli and Feta

To add flavour to the Rigatoni, Sage added broccoli and feta cheese. Paired with the eggplant parmesan and roasted potatoes, this meal was divine. The potatoes were roasted perfectly, slightly toasted on the outside, but soft and warm on the inside. The eggplant was slightly cold, but it didn’t stop it from tasting good.

For the last (but certainly not the least!) meal of the day, dinner left my stomach satisfied before going to bed.

House Roasted Peppered Turkey Breast, Mashed Potatoes, and Chicken Noodle Soup.

Sage served turkey breast, a side of mashed potatoes and chicken noodle soup. The turkey breast wasn’t too soft or too dry, it was well cooked. The mashed potatoes were a little bland, but the soup was what really topped off the meal. The soup was warm when I got it, which made it even better. There were chopped pieces of chicken and carrots, paired with chunks of noodles. They were all cooked well, and when added together, it produced a savory dish.

Overall, it was another great day of meals from Sage dining!
