CORE Values: Apples in Adams Dining Hall 11.11-11.15

Guest Writer: Harry Martel

Are you an apple fan? Have you ever found yourself uncertain about which apple to take? Searching for one source of truth on Worcester Academy’s produce? Look no further.

This week is unfortunately a mediocre one for apples on the Hilltop. The Fuji apples are back, however, and they are delectable. They can be found in the top right bin. Their peak ripeness has just now passed, with it being late October, and this harvest is still going strong. They are sweet with a delay, perfectly crisp, and their aftertaste is subtle: low acidity. The Granny Smiths (bruised) and Galas (rotting) have been handled quite poorly over the last few days—unless you can find an undamaged exterior, I do not recommend.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you’ll tune in next week.
