December Poem: “Hued Amnesia” by Ellie Gelardi

Ellie Gelardi

Red of my orange

Yellow drips sweet

Hanging on the end of green,

The grass of my dreams

Rolling hills of blue

Skies of brown,

Filled with the music of the gravel

Grey, the ground of the sky

Eyes of indigo,

Colored with the light blue of your sheets

Words written with black

Sealed with flamingo

The absence of light

Shadowing my head

Your rainbow,

Hiding under the pink of your lips,

Changing like freckles

Splattered on a canvas

Polka dotted love

How could you forget?

The color of the sea

Crammed with wind

Floating in the red of my orange

Yellow drips from your hair

Sweet like the grass of my dreams

Rolling hills of blue

Hanging on the end of green
